According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Atlanta Hawks and the Golden State Warriors have engaged in a swap of young big men.
The Warriors will receive Omari Spellman, while Atlanta will get Damian Jones and a second round draft pick.
Though Jones has appeared in only 49 through his first three seasons, he showed some promise last season before going down with a torn chest muscle. Spellman, was taken 30th overall in the 2018 NBA draft, played in just 46 games in his rookie campaign and averaged 5.9 points and 4.2 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game. He can be more productive if he can improve his physical conditioning.
